KICK International is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization recognized as a national sanctioning body dedicated to the advancement of safety for competitors within the amateur combative sports, focused on martial arts. KICK International serves as the National Governing Body in North America for the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO), the exclusive world governing body approved by the Sport Accord, formatting and guiding the sport of kickboxing for future Olympic acceptance.
The next edition of Sportaccord World Combat Games under the patronage of IOC will be organized in St. Petersburg, Russia - 18-28 October 2013.
Two new sports will be added in this second addition of the Games. The newest Combat sports in the Sportaccord family are Savate and the Olympic Sport, Fencing. We welcome both of them and look forward for them to raise the level of these fantastic Games – Our Olympics
Kickboxing participation in the World Combat Games Kickboxing this second edition will be represented in three following disciplines with the number of 8 athletes in each weight category, totally 96 athletes:

Qualification Events Scheduled in 2012
In order to ensure the worldwide participation in the most important event for our Sport as Combat Sports, WAKO will have qualification in each continent during 2012. The qualification events as decided by WAKO (IF) board are the following:
23-29. April 2012 African Championships - Madagascar (all disciplines)
To be announced Asian/Oceania Championships - To be announced shortly (all disciplines)
27. Oct-2. Nov 2012 European Championships - Ankara, Turkey (K1)
27. Nov-1. Dec 2012 European Championships - Buchurest, Romania (Full, Semi)
6-9. December 2012 Pan-American Championships - Foz Do Iguazu, Brazil, (all disciplines)
The quota of athletes from each continent will be: 4 from Europe, 2 from Asia/Oceania, 1 from Africa, 1 from Pan America
What We Do
KICK International provides sanctioning for Amateur Kickboxing and Amateur Mixed Martial Arts events throughout the United States. Events are established and approved under contractual agreements encompassing strict rules and regulations focused on the safety of the competitors, providing fair and consistent officiating. We provide civic engagement opportunities, mentoring activities and health and fitness programs that promote self-confidence, self-esteem, self-discipline, concentration, fitness and a very realistic practice of self-defense. Our affiliated gyms and coaches work hard to ensure that the sport reflects not only physical skill, but also intellectual achievement and emotional discipline.
